These terms apply to visitors, clients, freelancers applying to join our network, and users of features such as Ask AI and Work Progress.

2. About Ask Freelancer

Ask Freelancer is a digital studio offering web development, UI/UX design, video editing, graphics design, and digital advertising services. We are based in Panipat, Haryana, India, and work with clients locally and remotely.

3. Website use

  • You may browse the Website for lawful purposes only.
  • You must not attempt to disrupt, hack, scrape, or overload our systems.
  • You must not submit false, misleading, or abusive information through our forms or chat.
  • Content on the Website (text, images, branding, code) is owned by Ask Freelancer or our licensors and may not be copied without permission.

4. Services & projects

Specific project scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees are agreed separately — typically via proposal, contract, or written confirmation after an initial consultation. Information on the Website (including pricing guides and timelines) is indicative only and not a binding offer.

We reserve the right to decline projects that fall outside our expertise, capacity, or ethical standards.

5. Payments & refunds

Payment terms (deposits, milestones, final payment) will be stated in your project agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Deposits may be non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • Late payments may pause work until accounts are settled.
  • Refund requests are assessed case-by-case based on work completed and the signed agreement.

6. Client responsibilities

  • Provide timely feedback, content, and approvals needed to complete your project.
  • Ensure you have rights to any content, images, or brand assets you supply.
  • Review deliverables promptly and report issues within the revision window agreed in your project scope.

7. Intellectual property

Upon full payment, ownership of final agreed deliverables (e.g. website, designs, videos) transfers to you as specified in your project contract. Ask Freelancer may retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

We may use open-source libraries, stock assets, and third-party tools subject to their respective licences. You are responsible for ongoing licences for premium plugins, fonts, or stock media unless we agree otherwise.

8. Freelancer applications

Submitting a freelancer application does not guarantee acceptance. We review applications at our discretion. If accepted, separate collaboration terms may apply regarding project assignments, compensation, and confidentiality.

9. Ask AI assistant

Our Ask AI chatbot provides general information about our services. Responses are for guidance only and do not constitute a formal quote, contract, or professional advice. Always confirm details with our team before starting a project.

10. Work Progress portal

Project login credentials are confidential. Clients and freelancers must not share access passwords publicly. We are not liable for unauthorised access caused by credential sharing on your side. Admin access is restricted to authorised Ask Freelancer team members.

11. Limitation of liability

The Website and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ask Freelancer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Website.

Our total liability for any claim related to a specific paid project is limited to the fees paid for that project, unless a different limit is set in a signed agreement.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Ask Freelancer against claims arising from content you provide, misuse of the Website, or breach of these terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Website or services if you breach these terms. Either party may end a project under the conditions set in the project agreement.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Haryana, India, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
